What problems at women

For many years Ukraine on a step has not come nearer to the European standards of protection of the female rights. The European experience has given the chance to many countries to solve successfully problems of women, to reach gender equalities in a society.

The fundamental European standard: the minimum salary in 1,5-2 times exceeds a living wage. For the woman, for a family it means, what even it is enough minimum salary to support itself and children, to conduct a worthy life.

In Ukraine the minimum wages – 56 % of a living wage. Two thirds of our citizens living below the breadline – women.

In the developed European countries the social help for women with children exceeds a living wage. In the Scandinavian countries on the social programs directed on the state support of a family, goes to 10 % of the budget.

In Ukraine the social help of mother on care of the child till three years makes monthly 25 % of a living wage.

The European Union countries carry out the scale programs directed on maintenance of equality of the female rights in the market of work, assist their professional realisation. They have captured 20 % of women of able-bodied age. The legislation of Sweden provides rigid requirements to employers. To eliminate discrimination of working conditions of women, the state monitoring of its performance is conducted. In Finland and the Netherlands for infringement of equality of the rights of women in work sphere apply norms of criminal law.

Average duration of search of work – 16 months. For the woman – 24-26 months.

The European states help the women to combine work with motherhood as the woman has a possibility to work the incomplete working day successfully. For example, in the Netherlands such women of 57 %, in Switzerland – 46 %, in Norway – 42 %. Protecting the woman, the state compensates to employers a difference for its incomplete working day.

In Ukraine began norm to answer with failure to pregnant women or women with children. According to interrogations of the International centre of perspective researches, discrimination at employment was felt by 58 % of the interrogated women.

The European countries have created effective system of protection of women from violence. The help system operates not only legal, but also institutsionnaja. The free legal aid, the state centres of rehabilitation for the women who have tested violence works. Law-enforcement and judicial bodies really react to the violence facts. In a society to them intolerance conditions are created.

Annually 15 thousand Ukrainian women perish owing to household violence.

Results of realisation of scale programs of the EU countries on protection of women can be traced behind concrete indicators.

Average life expectancy of the woman in Europe–78 years, in Ukraine – 68.

Political activity. In parliaments of the Scandinavian countries the quantity of women contains at level of 50 %, in Germany – 40 %, France – 32 %. In Ukraine – 5 %. The interrogation spent by the European edition of magazine “Wall Street Journal”, testifies to stable growth of a share of women in a key element of the European companies.

These comparisons testify to tragic element of position of the Ukrainian woman. Its social vulnerability, poverty, lawlessness turn around for a society awful consequences – disintegration of families, low birth rate, problems in education of children.

Every third marriage breaks up.

Death rate exceeds birth rate twice.

In 11 % of the Ukrainian villages since 1993 was not born any child.

In the country of 270 thousand homeless children

Agree – these problems of huge social scale leave far for borders especially female and demand an expressive state policy.

The policy and democracy are moulded by millions hands. Each of us should feel itself as the citizen and bring the mite for the decision of our general problems.
